Using the SugarSync Android App (Ver 3.6), I sync'd an MS-Word .docx file to my Samsung Galaxy S II. The file gets deposited in \sdcard\My SugarSync Folders. While still in SugarSync, I select my phone from the My Devices section on the main page. I tap on the My SugarSync Folders, after which I see my file listed. I tap on the file and it opens in QuickWord (from QuickOffice Pro Ver 5.5.209 - QO). I make a change to the file. When I tap Save, I see the message "Error - Could not save the file." I click Cancel, and see the message "Quickoffice Pro - Unable to save file" after which I can only click "OK." If I select "Save As..." I CAN overwrite the open file, but I have to navigate back to the My SugarSync Folders, which IS a solution, but a bit cumbersome and annoying.
The phone came pre-installed with QuickOffice (Ver 4.1.20110711.67 SAMSUNG). When I perform the operation described above with this stripped-down version (note that this is QuickOffice, not QuickOffice Pro) I AM able to save the file directly.
Finally, the User Guide specifies that "after the file closes, SugarSync detects the change and asks if you would like to upload the file to SugarSync." This doesn't happen with either product. I have to manually select the file and Re-Sync.

Hi Chip-
I'm not sure what's causing this problem. I see that you've been going back and forth with one of our agents for a while, so I'm going to escalate your ticket to a senior support agent.
Thank you!

Hi Zachery - the issue has been passed along to the engineers at QuickOffice. There's no estimate as to when I might hear from someone, but I'll return to post whatever I hear. BTW, QO was recently purchased by Google, although there's no way of knowing wheteher this will impact their schedule. Hope to be back soon with some useful info! - Chip

Hi Zachery,
I heard from a QO tech today that they were unable to reproduce the problem, so they're considering the issue closed. (I work in tech support myself, and boy, would I love to be able use THAT response in MY job.) I asked how I can get to my original post (they recently changed their problem reporting interface, which I'm sorry to say has so far NOT impressed me) to view the history of the problem because I thought I remembered a QO tech who was able to reproduce it. I'm waiting to hear back.
I believe QO was recently purchased by Google, so I'm going to pursue this issue for a while.

hi Chip
tks
As a workaround, instead of using Sugarsync app to access my files, I used QO app, login to Sugarsync and edit the necessary files. Not the ideal way but hey, it works for me.....for now :)
